I stood next to them in landlord-tenant court when they realized they quite simply could not afford this month&#8217;s rent because they lost their job, or a loved one became injured, and they had no rainy day fund. It is on account of my low and moderate income clients that I feel the need to fight to expand access to safe, decent, affordable housing in the midst of this housing crisis.
